As per World Happiness Report 2020 by United Nations, for the third year in a row, Finland has been named the world’s happiest country.
The country has been ranked the most stable, the safest and best governed country in the world. It is also among the least corrupt and the most socially progressive. Its police are the world’s most trusted and its banks the soundest.
Finland has a strong social safety net, including a progressive, successful approach to ending homelessness. It also has a high-quality education system, and its commitment to closing the gender gap is paying off.
With a population of just over 5.5 million people, it’s the only country in the developed world where fathers spend more time with school-aged children than mothers.
